Salary up to 32k DOE plus KPI`s

The Company

Our well established client are a commercial vehicle repairer in the North West. They are dedicated to supporting the requirements of commercial vehicle operations of transport and fleets. They are currently seeking a Service Manager to manage the workshops to ensure they remain profitable and efficient. You will also be health and safety focused and exceed customer expectations and targets.

The Role

You will be responsible for a skilled and semi-skilled workforce, all office staff and workshop equipment. You will ensure that the quality and efficiency is always of a high standard whilst Health and Safety of the employees, visitors and workshops will be a number one priority.

Planning the daily workload of the workshop, office and drivers to ensure customer requirements are met and update schedules.
Liaising with customers regarding service schedules, updates, authorities and completion of work.
Raising of job cards, estimates and invoices as required and update status of jobs on the system in an accurate and timely fashion.
Ensuring that parts are available for the job at the correct time.
Processing purchase orders accurately.
Maintaining discipline in the whole site.
Monitoring job times on the system for each fitter against each job worked on.
Ensuring that the site is tidy, housekeeping standards are maintained and site is secure.
Ensuring that all equipment is maintained in a proper fashion.
Ensuring all Health - Safety arrangements are in place.
Promoting Health and Safety within the depot.
Attending management meetings and reporting on the KPI`s for the depot.
Undertake any reasonable duty specified by the Operations Manager - Company Directors.

Key Skills

Experience in management within the Transport, HGV, Fleet industry
Good understanding of the Truck and Trailer sector
Experience of working to KPIs
Customer driven
Target driven to ensure profitability is consistent
Health and safety focused
Administration skills and Attention to detail
Excellent communicator and ‘people skills`
Good planning and organisational skills
