Digital Ad Tech Manager - (Programmatic/Video/TV/Product) - London

£80,000 basic

My client, a premium video advertising agency specialising in TV advertising and programmatic video campaigns is looking for a Digital Ad Tech Solutions Manager who is a Product Champion within Programmatic, Video Ad Tech or TV Broadcast industry and you will own the agency's technical platform delivery and deployment.

The agency addresses the demand for brand-safe environments and high-quality pan-European online video campaigns at scale. They focus on programmatic video campaigns, which involves the automated and data-driven management of digital advertising purchases and sales.

The agency designs a joint innovation strategy to create new ways for advertisers to reach their customers. They leverage technology, research and premium content effectively to maintain the highest standard of quality and innovation for its digital media offerings.

They offer an extraordinary brand safe and viewable inventory of 800 MILLION PREMIUM VIDEO VIEWS to international companies where they can communicate with consumers at scale.

Job brief

The Digital Ad Tech Solutions Manager will own the agency's technical platform delivery and deployment working with key technical partners, broadcast partners the agency's operations team in accordance with the agreed strategy.

You will be responsible for the agency's Platform and management of the Advertising Operations Team. With a focus on scoping the next phase of agency's Programmatic Platform and ensuring the successful delivery of it.

You will collaborate and communicate with agency employees, stakeholders, technical partners and customers to ensure their company's product are used appropriately.

The successful thinker must be able to marry strategic thinking, with strong implementational technical ability and a strong understanding of the advertising / video marketplace, preferably on both the demand and supply side.

Responsibilities

Scope, architect and deploy the next stage of the agency's technology offering, ensuring alignment with the agency business requirements, stakeholders, partners and customers in accordance with company and commercial goals.

Research, scope and implement new product/technologies ideas that yield competitive commercial advantage.

Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues and ensure the platform is robust and delivers strong functionality and efficiency.

Create new technology powered technology product through soliciting feedback from the agency team, Customers and Broadcast partners.

Document the product and platform buildout, which includes network and system infrastructure.

Ensuring the agency platform is future proofed against industry trends, competition and regulatory issues such as GDPR and forthcoming ICO rulings.

Day to day management of the Agency Advertising Operations Team and assume responsibility for overall deployment of campaigns.

Articulate the companys technology strategy and product portfolio, positioning it to staff and partners.

Be a subject matter expert and point of contact for the architecture of the VoD delivery systems, providing technical consultancy to internal teams and external suppliers through documentation and workshops and where necessary help with hands-on investigation and troubleshooting of operational problems.

Requirements

5+ years experience as a product champion within Programmatic, Video Ad Tech or TV Broadcast industry.

FreeWheel (essential), DFP Video and other video ad serving experience.

SSP/DSP knowledge preferably through integration.

Deploying or integrating with digital video and ad distribution systems, including transcoding, HLS, DAI and IP based device/player technologies.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of technological trends to build strategy.

Understanding of budgets and business-planning.

Ability to conduct product evaluation - R-D.

Outstanding organisational, project management and leadership abilities.

Strong stakeholder management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.

Experience with cloud solutions (infrastructure, storage, platforms and data) with any of the following; AWS, GCP or Azure.

Thrives when working in a fast moving, agile environment, and has a love for small company culture.
